UK Education Programme

The UK has adopted a revised education system streamlining accruing credits and incorporating eLearning.

Since 2015 the UK has adopted a revised education system streamlining accruing credits and incorporating eLearning on to the Education programme. 

There are three qualifications that NAS members can work through as they develop their archaeological skills: Foundation, Certificate and Award. Members progress through these qualifications by earning credits which are accrued by participating in courses, events and fieldwork.

  • NAS-run activities = 5 credits/day.
  • Non-NAS or self-directed activities = 2.5 credits/day.
