Nautical Archaeology is the NAS member newsletter, it aims to keep members of the public updated on activities of the Society and events or information concerning maritime archaeology around the world. It’s published four times a year.
Members can either download their newsletter through the member’s area of the website or receive it in hardcopy, depending on the level of membership.
Back issues of the newsletter are available from 2003 through the member’s area of the website. Hard copies of the newsletter dating back to the first editon of NATNEWS (published by the nautical Archaeology Trust) in 1976 are held in the NAS office library.
All members and friends of the NAS are encouraged to submit articles for the newsletter - including project reports, questions, views on policy or new developments within the field of maritime archaeology. The newsletter also advertises project opportunities, upcoming conferences and training courses, both in the UK and internationally.
